Industries
The constraint is never the technology. It is your industry.
A model risk framework in banking. A HIPAA boundary in healthcare. An accessibility obligation in the public sector. We have shipped inside all of them, and we design to the constraint from the first review rather than discovering it at launch.
Automation that can survive a regulator asking why.
Banks, insurers and asset managers do not lack automation ambition — they lack automation they can evidence. We build systems where every decision carries its reasoning, every model has documentation, and every action is reconstructable years later.
Pressures we hear most
- Model risk documentation demanded before deployment, not after
- Manual reconciliation consuming finance capacity at month-end
- KYC and onboarding cycles measured in weeks, not minutes
- Legacy core systems that cannot be replaced but must be integrated
What we have shipped here
Claims and underwriting triage
Quote turnaround 4 days → 6 hours
Reconciliation and exception handling
Close cycle shortened by 71%
KYC and onboarding automation
Time to first value down 64%
Identity threat detection
Credential compromise dwell time: 41 seconds
Clinical time back, without touching clinical judgement.
The administrative load around care is where the burnout lives. We automate the coordination, documentation and prior-authorisation work that surrounds clinicians — and we stay firmly out of the diagnostic decision itself.
Pressures we hear most
- Prior authorisation consuming hours of clinical staff time daily
- Patient data fragmented across systems that do not speak
- HIPAA obligations that make most AI tooling a non-starter
- Staffing shortages making manual coordination unsustainable
What we have shipped here
Prior authorisation automation
Submission-to-decision cut 78%
Care coordination platform
Avoidable follow-up down 31%
Clinical documentation support
96 minutes returned per clinician per day
Patient companion applications
71% weekly active use at six months
The plant floor and the back office, finally on speaking terms.
Manufacturing runs on exceptions — a late shipment, a price variance, a quality hold. We build the systems that catch those exceptions automatically and act on them against your supplier terms, rather than surfacing them at month-end.
Pressures we hear most
- Supply chain exceptions found weeks after they cost money
- Quality data trapped in systems that cannot be queried together
- Maintenance scheduled by calendar rather than by condition
- OT and IT security boundaries that were never properly designed
What we have shipped here
Supply chain exception handling
$1.8M variance recovered annually
Procurement intake automation
Requisition cycle 9 days → 2
Quality and compliance evidence
Audit prep 6 weeks → 4 days
OT/IT security segmentation
Critical findings down 88%
Margin defended at every step, not just at the checkout.
Retail systems are usually optimised for revenue and blind to contribution. We rebuild the operational layer — pricing, fulfilment, returns, service — so decisions are made on margin and the customer experience improves at the same time.
Pressures we hear most
- Returns and service costs eroding otherwise healthy revenue
- Marketing optimised to revenue while margin quietly declines
- Peak-season traffic requiring a war room every year
- Inventory data that is accurate everywhere except where it matters
What we have shipped here
Composable commerce replatform
Checkout completion up 26%
Returns and service automation
Cost per contact down 44%
Margin-driven media buying
Contribution margin up 28%
Peak-readiness platform work
Zero incidents through Black Friday
Exceptions handled before the customer notices them.
In logistics, the difference between a good operator and a great one is how fast an exception gets resolved. We build the detection, decision and communication layer that closes that gap without adding headcount.
Pressures we hear most
- Exception handling that depends on individual experience
- Customer service absorbing the cost of operational failures
- Field teams working offline in vehicles and warehouses
- Fragmented visibility across carriers and partners
What we have shipped here
Exception detection and resolution
Resolution time cut 68%
Offline-first field applications
Paper eliminated for 900 technicians
Warehouse scanning workflows
Pick accuracy 99.7%
Partner and carrier portal
Support tickets down 71%
Billable hours spent on the work clients actually value.
Firms lose margin to the administrative surround of delivery: intake, conflicts, document assembly, status reporting. We automate the surround so senior people spend their time on judgement.
Pressures we hear most
- Senior time consumed by document assembly and reporting
- Intake and conflict checks slowing engagement start
- Knowledge locked in individuals rather than systems
- Client confidentiality requirements limiting tool choice
What we have shipped here
Engagement intake automation
Onboarding cycle down 62%
Document assembly and review support
4.2 hours per person per week returned
Knowledge retrieval over firm history
Research time cut 54%
Client portal and reporting
Status queries down 70%
Services that work for everyone, including on a five-year-old phone.
Public services carry an obligation most commercial products do not: they have to work for every citizen, on every device, with every access need. We build to that standard and treat accessibility as a hard requirement rather than a scoring criterion.
Pressures we hear most
- Accessibility obligations that most vendor products fail
- Procurement cycles that outlast technology choices
- Legacy systems with no supported integration path
- Public scrutiny requiring genuine transparency in automated decisions
What we have shipped here
Citizen service portals
WCAG 2.2 AA verified, zero blocking issues
Case management automation
Processing time down 57%
Legacy integration layer
Six systems unified without replacement
Explainable decision records
Full reasoning trail on every automated outcome
Ship faster without the incident review that follows.
Software companies come to us for the parts that are hard to staff for: platform engineering, AI features that survive real usage, and the security work investors and enterprise buyers now ask about in diligence.
Pressures we hear most
- AI features expected by customers but hard to make reliable
- Enterprise buyers demanding SOC 2 and security evidence
- Infrastructure cost growing faster than revenue
- Platform work competing with product roadmap for the same engineers
What we have shipped here
AI feature engineering
Trial-to-paid conversion up 38%
Developer platform build
Environment provisioning 3 weeks → 20 minutes
Cloud cost engineering
$1.9M annualised saving in 90 days
Security and compliance readiness
SOC 2 evidence prep 6 weeks → 4 days
Sector questions
Working inside your constraints
Still deciding?
Send the question to a senior engineer instead of a form. You will get a straight answer, and a no if that is the honest one.
Yes. These are simply where we have the deepest track record. What transfers between sectors is the engineering discipline — measured baselines, guardrails, evaluation, audit trails. What does not transfer is regulatory detail, so if your sector is unfamiliar to us we will say so and factor the learning curve into the estimate rather than pretending otherwise.
We treat regulation as a design input from the first architecture review. For regulated deployments we produce the evidence artefacts — model documentation, data governance records, human oversight design, audit trails — as part of delivery. Producing it during the build costs a fraction of reconstructing it for an auditor afterwards.
Almost always. We integrate with core banking platforms, EHRs, MES and WMS systems, practice management tools and case management systems regularly. Where a system offers no API we build a resilient file or database integration and document its limitations honestly rather than promising a clean interface that does not exist.
Usually, and we arrange introductions selectively with client permission once we are past initial scoping. Most engagements are under confidentiality agreements, which is why the case studies on this site describe organisations by sector and scale rather than by name.
Start the conversation
Tell us the constraint everyone says is immovable.
Most of the time it genuinely is, and the right design works around it. Occasionally it turns out to be a decision from 2016 that nobody has revisited. Either way you will know within ninety minutes.
What to expect
- No pitch deck, no obligation
- Senior engineers in the room
- A written plan within five days
